‘The Porn Project’, held in August 2013 was an amazing success!  For a topic with a history of hush-hushness the response was extraordinary. With over fifty contributions of paint, poster, video, illustration, dance, guerilla action, talks, installations, live performance, film and more, The Porn  Project took over K’Rd for 10 whole days.

The Method & Manners exhibition featured over 20 art works and numerous perfomances at the opening night party;  gender expectations were queered at Gendersmash on K’Rd one saturday; public talks canvassed the history of K’Rd and the future of censorship laws; Hard Tongues was a spoken word evening held at Alleluyah cafe; the Prostitutes Collective held open days and Indecent Exposure held a breast ‘sip-in’, also at Alleluyah; the Dress Up Clean Up collective cleaned up the street at the Victoria Skate Park, the Corner Window Gallery on K’Rd hung works by Erin Forsyth and Sylvie Chasteau; Explicit:Implicit – an exhibition held at Co.Space POPup and hosted by the Intentional Space Collective – featured over 15 art works and hosted an evening of live performances – ‘Exhibitionists’Explicit Details was a panel discussion with Amie Wee, Tessa Clews, Sam Orchard, Amelia Hitchcock and Bianca Beebe talking about porn, sex, art and life.
